Shanxi University of Finance and Economics-Deakin University “3+1” Intercollegiate Exchange Program Project Promotion Meeting Successfully Held

At 14:00 on July 1, 2022, the 3+1Intercollegiate Exchange Program Project Promotion Meeting of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics and Deakin University was successfully held on Zoom online conference platform. Attendees include Prof. Wei Shen, Vice Chancellor for International Relations in Deakin University, Ivy Wang, Senior Partnership Manager in China Office, Shirley Xie, International Manager in Department of Business and Law, Sophie Bai, Head of Transnational Education and Partnership Coordination in the Department of International Affairs, Tina Mao, Senior International Coordination Officer in the Department of Business and Law, Prof. Li Jingping, Dean of the School of Finance in Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, Tao Xufeng in the Office of the School of Finance, Li Zhinan in Internationalization Office, and over 20 undergraduates from the School of Finance who pre-registered the program.

First of all, Li Jingping, Dean of the School of Finance introduced the history and current situation, advantages and characteristics of the School of Finance of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics. She also said the program briefing and student pre-enrollment carried out in the early stage. Subsequently, Vice President Wei Shen introduced international cooperation and student cultivation of Deakin University, and gave his blessing and outlook on the cooperation between the two universities. Next, Ivy Wang and Shirley Xie made specific introductions on the environment, teaching and practice of Deakin University, the Business and Law Faculty and the Business School respectively, and explained the curriculum and articulation issues about the cooperation program. In the end, our students had an in-depth and detailed communication with Deakin University teachers from the aspects of study fees, program requirements, future development, and Australian epidemic prevention situation.

Shanxi University of Finance and Economics and Deakin University 3+1Intercollegiate Exchange Program is open for application for many majors in our school, providing valuable internationalized dual-degree learning opportunities for our students. Based on the previous program briefing, students further understood the details of Deakin University, promoting the Exchange Program between Deakin and Shanxi University of Finance and Economics and providing a good start for the all-round and in-depth cooperation between the two universities in the future.
