The global economic and financial landscape is undergoing profound restructuring. Driven by transformative artificial intelligence, persistent geopolitical turbulence, and heightened volatility in international capital markets, cross-border risk transmission chains have become increasingly complex, placing traditional financial governance systems under severe strain. Consequently, China is firmly committed to building a robust financial nation. By advancing the "Five Major Financial Priorities" and leveraging data elements, China is deepening financial supply-side structural reforms to coordinate sustainable economic and financial development. Against the backdrop of fragmented global financial governance and compounding risks from technological innovation, clarifying the underlying logic among regulatory technology (RegTech), risk prevention, and financial stability has become a core focus for global scholars to optimize modern regulatory frameworks and maintain financial stability.
In light of this, Shanxi University of Finance and Economics will host the 8th International Conference on Financial Regulation and Financial Stability on November 14, 2026. Grounded in current global shifts and the critical juncture of domestic financial reforms, the conference will convene domestic and international experts for cross-disciplinary discussions. It will focus on frontier issues, including AI-driven financial risk governance, macroprudential regulation, risk resolution in key sectors, and regulatory coordination amid high-level financial opening-up. The conference aims to analyze the evolving characteristics of financial risks under new circumstances and explore modern regulatory pathways that are innovative, inclusive, and robust. Ultimately, it seeks to forge consensus on international financial governance, refine long-term risk prevention mechanisms, and safeguard high-quality financial development through efficient regulation, thereby advancing the steady construction of a financial powerhouse.
To advance frontier research on contemporary financial regulation and financial stability, the conference welcomes paper submissions on topics including, but not limited to:
²Generative AI, Digital Finance, and Regulatory Technology
²Climate Finance, Green Transition, and Sustainable Development
²Geoeconomics, Cross-Border Capital Flows, and Global Financial Governance
²Risk Resolution in Key Sectors and Financial Security
²Coordination Between Macroeconomic Policies and Prudential Regulation
²Financial Reforms, the Real Economy, and New Quality Productive Forces
²Financial Inclusion, Insurance, and Common Prosperity
²Financial Opening-Up and Risk Management in RMB Internationalization
²Pathways to Building a Modern Financial Powerhouse with Chinese Characteristics
